Stef: The open, welcoming environment, and the level of service that we provide to our            members, as well as our willingness to help and participate in community events.

3) How long have you been with True Sky Credit Union?

Stef: 5 years

Mark: 8 years

Emily H: 2 years

Tiara: 1 year

Lilia: 1 year

Della Ray: 1 year

Emily P: 2 months

Madison: 2 months

4) What’s the most significant thing your branch has done?

Stef: In June we hosted a Food Truck Friday night to raise money for Children’s Miracle        Network Hospitals. It was great seeing our community come together for good food and a great cause.

Why should non-members come see you?

Stef: People are not just numbers to us, everyone has a story, and we take the time to listen, and look for ways that we can help. Whether it’s coming up with a game plan to increase credit scores, refinancing to lower payments and save money in interest, or setting up accounts to help with budgeting. Even if a non-member isn’t ready to open an account, we can do a credit score analysis for them, and talk to them about options that they may not have known they had.

Mark: I would love to be the one to help them get their dream car, go on their dream vacation, or simply lower their current interest rates, and monthly payments.

Emily H: Non-members should come see us because True Sky Credit Union really cares. One of the reasons I love my job is because it gives me the opportunity to give options to people who feel like they’re out of options. I try to educate our members as much as possible, so they have the power to make the best financial decisions for themselves. When people are empowered with knowledge it can give them the confidence to grow in the right direction.

Tiara: They should come experience our friendly and dedicated service! We strive to respect and care for everyone as individuals instead of accounts.

Lilia: Let us see how much money we can save you!

Della Ray: We’ll welcome them to True Sky Credit Union, and make them feel at home.

Emily P: We offer excellent options for people who are seeking loans or to better their credit score. True Sky Credit Union employees are compassionate and want to help people who come in.

Madison: We are very friendly and always have a smiling face

What community events is your branch involved with?

We have participated in and sponsored many of the events put on in Yukon by The Parks & Recreation Department such as Festival of the Child, the Spirit Sprint and the Chill Your Cheeks Run. We also participate in the annual Czech Fest parade, the New Teacher Luncheon and the Yukon Teacher Breakfast.

What’s the best piece of financial advice you could give someone?

Stef: Do your research, ask questions, and take care of your credit! Most services offered at financial institutions are similar, but you have to be able to trust the representative you work with and know they will put in the work to make sure you’re getting the best rates, returns and service possible.

Mark: Make sure you have an emergency fund.

Emily H: Save, save, save. Life will always give you emergencies. If you don’t have money in your savings, come see me! I promise I’ll do my best to help you.

Tiara: Be realistic, be aware, and be careful with your finances!

Lilia: Ask questions and find out what your possibilities are.

Della Ray: Try to keep an emergency savings account! It’s gotten me out of some sticky situations.

Emily P: Save, save, save!

Madison: Leave as much money as you can in your savings account until you need it!

What’s the best thing about True Sky Credit Union?

Emily H: As an employee, I believe True Sky Credit Union cares about not just me, but my family also. As a member, the best thing about True Sky Credit Union is the peace of mind knowing that we don’t take advantage of members with endless fees.

Tiara: We work to make every person we assist know that True Sky Credit Union is “where they truly belong!”

Lilia: The best thing about True Sky Credit Union is we’re always looking for ways to better ourselves and serve our members.

16) What’s the best way for your branch to give back to the community?

Stef: We have several great ways to give back to the community; including volunteering, offering sponsorship opportunities and hosting events at our location where both members and non-members can participate.

Mark: We host many events that benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Emily H: Since inception of the Yukon branch, our goal has always been to give back to Yukon. We constantly look for ways to serve those who live closest to us. We show our community love by taking part in our city’s activities such as attending a senior dance, having a food truck night with proceeds that benefited CMNH, and continually planning other activities.

Tiara: I have so many! Every day brings something new.

Lilia: The fondest memory I have of True Sky Credit Union was when we gave out some Dodger’s tickets to a family. It was nice to see we could offer a family a fun night out.

Della Ray: When we had Food Truck Friday at our branch. The best part was when my husband got to play some of his music for everyone.

Emily P: My fondest memory so far would have to be trying a taco at Food Truck Friday for the first time.

Madison: When I was in new employee orientation, all the people were super nice and I felt like this is where I belonged.

18) What the most memorable moment you have of an event or situation?

Stef: I helped a member who I had been working with for months make her last payment on her vehicle. After getting so far behind on payments, we were going to have to repossess it. It was tough for her to get caught up, but when we made that last payment, I remember feeling so proud and happy for her. Her hard work had finally paid off!

Mark: Standing under a tent in the rain giving out snow cones to our bravest members during one of our many Member Appreciation Days.

Emily H: Being included in helping establish the Yukon Branch was amazing. There’s so much planning, love and care that goes into moving into a new community. I’m still so happy we’re here! I really love Yukon and have enjoyed meeting members of our community.

Tiara: The senior dance our branch sponsored along with Spanish Cove and the City of Yukon! The attendees truly enjoyed themselves and it was great to talk with them about their younger years.

Lilia: The most memorable moment would have to be when all our branches came together to donate stuffed animals for kids in need. It was a blissful feeling seeing everyone come together like that for our community.
